A few of the CEO Watcher stocks hit their stop-losses today and were sold.
Current Holdings
AMZN - Part of our big tech bet. Big tech dominated in 2023 due mostly to the AI boom. Owning the largest tech companies gives us exposure to AI, plus exposure to the tech sector if it continues its run up. AMZN also is one of the best run companies in the world, with one of the biggest moats in the world, a growing advertising business, and AWS is a vital part of the AI ecosystem.
GOOGL - Part of the big tech bet. There are concerns with Google lagging in AI and potentially being hurt by AI search tools like Chat GPT. But we are holding as part of a broader large tech bet (plus advertising upside)
NVDA - Part of the large tech bet (and an AI play obviously). Also bought a way out-of-the-money call option for July after seeing a huge call option purchase with an expiration in July and strike price of $1200 which is almost 2x the current price.
META - Part of the large tech bet. They also stand to gain from gains in AI in terms of engagement on their services (better recommendation engines and AI-generated content lead to more user engagement) and improvements to their ad platform.
MSFT - Part of the large tech bet (and AI).
GEO - GEO owns, leases, and manages prisons, processing centers, and community reentry facilities. The southern US border hit a record number of illegal immigrants which means the US will need more prisons, detention centers, and tracking technology.
LGIH - This is a bet that we hit the mortgage rates peak and peak rates were manageable. Catastrophe scenario for builders is likely gone and status quo is fine. Rate cuts should lead to good returns.
C - Citi has a 60% valuation gap to BAC while all of financials are gaining strength. It also is still near trough relative valuations vs. SPX. A lot of call buying happening today as well.
AMD - A semiconductor play for earnings. They also had a recent purchase of a huge call option block that expires in February that is bullish (image posted in Discord)
MU - A semiconductor play for earnings. We've seen a couple compelling stock pitches for MU with price targets around $100 (search the website for MU).

LQDA - Purchased after seeing a handful of pitches and @dheeraj561 making a case for them in the Discord. Long-term hold
PAYS - Copying an insider trade we found in the CEO Watcher Premium newsletter
ACIC - A lot of smart people have pitched them and they had a very strong run up before dipping after earnings (that appeared to be good). Bought that dip
